The capital of Bulgaria is Sofia which appears to be the most popular and convenient airport at the moment. Use the links below to help you choose the right flight. Most of the flight companies arriving at Sofia are listed below, this applies primarily if you are flying from London airports. Transfer times are estimated 2-3 hours (160 km), we have experienced both (depends on your driver!)

Flying from Cardiff or Bristol is limited at the moment and although prices can still be competitive the flights (company below) arrive at Plovdiv airport only. You would need to add an additional 30 min - 1 hour on your transfer time from Plovdiv to Bansko compared with Sofia to Bansko.
